“YOU ARE A TRUE EXAMPLE OF A GOOD MUSLIM” ADEDOYIN TELLS OUTGOING NBTE BOSS

The Executive Chairman and founder of the first federal government approved private polytechnic in Nigeria, The Polytechnic, Ife, His Royal Eminence, Dr AbdulRahman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin has described the outgoing Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, Dr Ma’saudu Kasaure, mni as a humble, respectful and humane person who can be described as a true example of a good Muslim.

Dr Adedoyin stated this in a goodwill message to the Dr Kasaure who will be completing his tenure as the Executive Secretary of the NBTE on the Monday the 5th of October after a ten year stint at the Board.

He described the Executive Secretary as a very progressive Nigeria whose tenure at the board has brought significant changes to the face of technical, vocational and innovation education in the country.

He noted that under Dr Kasaure’s leadership, the NBTE had risen to a total of 131 Polytechnics, 33 Colleges of Agriculture, 50 Colleges of Health Science and Technology, 31 Specialized Institutions, 152 Innovation Enterprise Institutions, 79 Vocational Enterprise Institutions and 119 Technical Colleges, adding that from 2007 to date, government has granted approval to 56 private polytechnics, 152 Innovation Enterprise Institutions and 79 Vocational Enterprise Institutions in addition to Colleges of Health Sciences and Technology

added that the NBTE under the leadership of Dr Kasaure has been encouraging the establishment of more private polytechnics and Innovative Enterprise Institutions in order to diversify and expand access for prospective applicants

He noted that over 56 curricula have been reviewed from 2016 to date while some curricula were also developed in new and emerging fields including HND Explosive Ordinance, ND/HND Railway Engineering Technology, HND Aviation Management, ND Cement Engineering Technology and HND Mechatronics Engineering Technology in the Board’s quest to ensure demand-driven curricula under Dr Kasaure’s leadership.

While enjoining the outgoing Executive Secretary to continue to keep in touch, Dr Adedoyin who is also the Chancellor and Founder of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government prayed that God will continue be with him and direct him on his next endeavor.

Ghana Accreditation Body Approves Unique Citizens (University) College

The body responsible for regulating tertiary education in Ghana, the National Accreditation Board NAB has given institutional accreditation to the Unique Citizens (University) College, North Legon, Accra, Ghana to operate as a private tertiary institution.
In addition to the institutional accreditation, the Board also gave the University the approval to launch 3-degree programmes (B.Sc.)
The programmes approved the regulatory board are; B.Sc. in Human Resources Management, B.Sc. Accountancy and B.Sc. Business Management.
In four separate letters; one for which is for the institutional accreditation while the remaining three are for each accredited courses, signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko and addressed to the President, Unique Citizens College, North Legon, Accra, the accreditation takes effect from August 1, 2020, to July 31, 2023
According to the letter, the Board’s approval came to the effect following its decision at its 122nd meeting held on July 23-24, 2020.
The letters added that the College should apply for the renewal of accreditation of the institution as well as the three programmes one year to the expiry date of the stated period of accreditation.

According to a statement from the President and Founder of the University, His Royal Eminence, Dr AbdulRahaman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, the institutional accreditation and approval of the programmes followed a series of visits by the National Accreditation Board, Accra, Ghana to the Unique Citizens (University) College, Accra, Ghana.
While giving thanks to God for the success, the renowned educationist expressed optimism that the Unique Citizens (University) College, Accra, Ghana will soon be given the go-ahead to run more degree programmes.
Dr Adedoyin is also the Chancellor and Founder of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu-Ife, Nigeria, Our Saviors University, Delaware, USA.

The popular Ramon Adedoyin road linking the Mayfair axis to Parakin-Eleyele area of Ile-Ife is  set to receive a facelift as the Maye of Yoruba land and distinguished business mogul, His Royal Eminence Dr AbdulRahaman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin has contracted the rehabilitation of the road which has over the years become an eyesore and a nightmare to TIXLEX ROAD NETWORK LTD.
Our reporter who was on a visit to the site reported that those who ply the road daily were ecstatic and full of encomiums and prayers for the sponsor of the road rehabilitation exercise calling on other well-meaning Ife sons and daughters to take a cue from this the philanthropic gesture of the Ife-born billionaire.
They recounted their harrowing experiences on the dilapidated road as repeated calls to the concerned authorities over time had not yielded any positive results.
The contract for the rehabilitation of the road was awarded for 10million naira.
It was gathered that the first phase of the rehabilitation project which began on Tuesday, July 14, is from Mayfair junction to the Ramon Adedoyin College of Engineering and Technology, Oduduwa University campus, Parkin (old polytechnic site) and already the laterites and other materials needed for this are already on site.
In an interview with the Maye of Yoruba land, Dr. Adedoyin disclosed that his resolve to rehabilitate the road is in line with his corporate social responsibility and his love for the people of Ile-Ife, especially Parkin area. The Maye promised that the road rehabilitation shall be in phases. It will cover the whole of Parkin Estate of Ile-Ife.
