ADEDOYIN; A ROLE MODEL, NOT A RITUALIST.

His Royal Eminence,Dr. Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin
His Royal Eminence,Dr. R. A. Adedoyin
Every great person in life always attracts  controversies especially when the Almighty God makes an individual to thrive on the same path where others walked and met disappointments. In this part of the world where only few people achieve successes and greatness by the dint of hard work and dogged determination it is not uncommon for detractors and envious element to ascribe other people’s success to diabolical or ungodly means forgetting that the Almighty God has already programmed every individual’s path from above.
Distinguished educationist, philanthropist and notable business mogul, His Royal Eminence,Dr. Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin (Maye of Yorubaland)  is one of the very few people that climbed the ladder of success from the lowest step from a humble beginning having been single-handedly raised by his widowed mother, Alhaja B Adedoyin, having lost his father, Alhaji Adedoyin at a young age of seven.
Adedoyin today is an attestation to the fact that anyone can achieve greatness through discipline, dedication, hard work and dogged commitment to purposeful pursuits in life.
As a young boy, Ramon learnt the virtues of humility and respect for humanity in his early life at Maha-Had Islamic foundation, Ibadan in 1960. His formal education however started at Ansar-Islam Primary School in Ile-Ife (1961-1969). He attended Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife (1970-1974), and later, Muslim Grammar School, Odinjo, Ibadan (1975-1976).
Also he gained admission to the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife

(GREAT IFE) where he graduated in 1983 with an honours degree in Mathematics Education before acquiring his Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Mathematics and Education from All Saints University of America, New York, USA, Centurion University respectively. He has earned various honorary doctorate degrees from local and international Universities.
It was while he was an undergraduate at the Great Ife that fate set him on the path that was to take to the pinnacle of life as one his lecturers commissioned him to tutor his children on Mathematics which even till now is an albatross for most students.
He recorded so much success with the lecturer’s children that before long other lecturers brought their children and wards to him for tutoring. By the time Adedoyin left the University, his vision was clearly set before him. Unlike many of his mates who were chasing white collared jobs, he started a tutorial centre with the few candidates he had garnered as an undergraduate at his mother’s residence at Ajigbona area of Modakeke, Ile-Ife.
With assistance from his mother, the money he saved from the makeshift wood and bamboo shed tutorial centre at Ajigbona is what he used to acquire the land in Parakin, Ile-Ife where he established the popular Universal Tutorial College which was a household name in the 80s. The tutorial college of the 80s has produced Professors, Doctors and men and women who have made landmark achievements in the nation today.
The Universal College of Technology, Ile-Ife of the old day is what transformed to the Universal College of Technology, Ile-Ife following the promulgation of Decree 9 of 1993 by the Ibrahim Babangida’s administration.
Universal College which is the first private polytechnic to be approved by the federal government was to later change its name to The Polytechnic, Ife which in 1981moved from Parakin, Ile-Ife to the permanent site along Ife/Ibadan expressway.
As it is with all men of vision, Adedoyin did not rest on his oars, as he also applied and got approval to run Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government which today ranks as one of the best private universities in the country today.
Also to his colossal tracks are chains of businesses both in Nigeria and abroad notably among which are: Our Saviors University of America, Delaware, USA; Unique Citizens (University) College, Accra, Ghana; Ray Power Guards Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria; Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife and Lagos, Nigeria.Chief Adedoyin has made monumental contributions to the development of Ile- Ife community in particular and the society in general. He is a great philanthropist who has been giving scholarship and awards to outstanding students especially those from indigent background.
He has made appreciable donations to charity services; he has contributed a lot to the upliftment of hid community.
In recognition of his outstanding and tremendous contributions to community development and the Nigerian project, he was also honoured by the Ife Central Local Government through the naming of the popular NITEL road as Dr. Ramon Adedoyin Way.
The Ife Development Board also bestowed on him 'The Best Ife Son' Award during an Ife Day celebrations.
In a nation where people become millionaires overnight either through stealing money from government or other illegal and diabolical means, His Royal Eminence,(Dr.) Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin does not even belief in african magic or juju is one of very few Nigerians whose story of success can be traced and spans a period of over 40years.
He is a devout Muslim who apart from going on pilgrimage to Mecca several times has also sponsored many others. Another uniqueness of his is that despite his strict religious background and beliefs, his only wife, (Mrs) Iyabo Oluwafunmilayo Adedoyin is a Prophetess and founder of Chapel of blessings evangelical ministries international.
Chief (Dr) Ramon Adegoke Adedoyin is a role model worthy of being emulated by many Nigerians.  He could also be described as one of the foremost educationists in Nigeria whose singular effort has contributed immensely in providing Nigerians especially the youths with solid education which is indispensable for social and economic empowerment.
As an educationalist, he is a great molder and builder of worthy characters thereby contributing tremendously to the transformation of the society. He radiates the ideals of morality, decency, decorum, probity, accountability, hardworking and inspiration to management.
He is a man of creative ingenuity, great vision, managerial acumen, indefatigable spirit, irrepressible courage whose astute business initiatives have made him a success in every sphere of his life.
