MAYE DOLES OUT 100MILLION NAIRA SCHOLARSHIP

The Maye of Yoruba land and Chancellor of Oduduwa University, His Royal Eminence, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin in his characteristic philanthropic gesture has declared his intention to grant one hundred million naira scholarship to 50 applicants of Yoruba origin every year.

The business mogul and philanthropist, made the revelation last week in a chat with The Informant Newspaper.

According to him the scholarship which is at the rate of 2 million naira per candidate will cover tuition for the entire degree programme for successful candidates at Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government for the course of their choice.

The Maye who said all sons and daughters of Yorubas are eligible for the scholarship called on all first class traditional rulers in Yoruba land to avail themselves the gesture by nominating their subjects for the opportunity.

He noted that many frontline traditional rulers whose candidates are currently enjoying such scholarship include; the Ooni of Ife, the Alaafin of Oyo, the Oluwo of Iwo and the Apetu of Ipetumodu among others.

He disclosed that qualified indigent students of Yoruba extraction can also collect the scholarship forms from any of the organisations that belong to the Adedoyin conglomerate.

Oduduwa University currently runs 19 degree programmes spread across Ramon Adedoyin College of Natural and Applied Sciences (RACONAS), Ramon Adedoyin College of Engineering and Technology (RACOET), College of Management and Social Sciences and Oba Okunade Sijuwade College of Environmental Design and Management to which the successful candidates may be admitted.

Maye Eulogises Gov Oyetola, Bishop Oyedepo at 66

 The Maye of Yoruba land and Chancellor of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government, His Royal Eminence, Dr AbdulRahman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin described Osun State Governor, Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola as a rare technocrat who has impacted positively on the state in less than two years of his assumption of office.

In a congratulatory message to the Governor on the occasion of his 66th birthday, Dr Adedoyin described the various achievements of his administration as unsurpassed in the history of the state despite the meager resources at the his disposal.

He noted that the Oyetola has brought his peaceful and calm personality to bear on the state, such that Osun is now regarded as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria.

While wishing Governor Oyetola more fruitful years on earth as he became a year older 0n the 29th of September, Adedoyin enjoined him to keep on with the works and continue to pursue programmes that make life more meaningful for the people of Osun State

In the same vein the renowned educationist has congratulated the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide,(Winners’ Chapel) Dr David Oyedepo who also celebrated his 66th birthday on the 27th of September describing him as one of God’s greatest gifts to Nigeria.

He noted that Bishop Oyedepo is a man of God who has made great marks both in the religious and educational spheres in Nigeria, as the head of one of the largest Christian ministries in Nigeria and two world class universities among other exploits.

The renowned educationist thanked God for adding another year to the Bishop’s age and prayed that God will continue to strengthen him to do greater acts in His name.

Ghana Accreditation Body Approves Unique Citizens (University) College

The body responsible for regulating tertiary education in Ghana, the National Accreditation Board NAB has given institutional accreditation to the Unique Citizens (University) College, North Legon, Accra, Ghana to operate as a private tertiary institution.
In addition to the institutional accreditation, the Board also gave the University the approval to launch 3-degree programmes (B.Sc.)
The programmes approved the regulatory board are; B.Sc. in Human Resources Management, B.Sc. Accountancy and B.Sc. Business Management.
In four separate letters; one for which is for the institutional accreditation while the remaining three are for each accredited courses, signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko and addressed to the President, Unique Citizens College, North Legon, Accra, the accreditation takes effect from August 1, 2020, to July 31, 2023
According to the letter, the Board’s approval came to the effect following its decision at its 122nd meeting held on July 23-24, 2020.
The letters added that the College should apply for the renewal of accreditation of the institution as well as the three programmes one year to the expiry date of the stated period of accreditation.

According to a statement from the President and Founder of the University, His Royal Eminence, Dr AbdulRahaman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, the institutional accreditation and approval of the programmes followed a series of visits by the National Accreditation Board, Accra, Ghana to the Unique Citizens (University) College, Accra, Ghana.
While giving thanks to God for the success, the renowned educationist expressed optimism that the Unique Citizens (University) College, Accra, Ghana will soon be given the go-ahead to run more degree programmes.
Dr Adedoyin is also the Chancellor and Founder of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu-Ife, Nigeria, Our Saviors University, Delaware, USA.

ADEDOYIN FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH ON EID-EL-FITRI

Renowned educationalist and distinguished philanthropist, His Royal Eminence, Dr AbdulRahaman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin has congratulated Muslims all over the world and Nigeria in particular on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Filtri festival
 In a statement personally signed by the Ife prince, he noted that despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Nigerians and indeed humanity still have cause to be grateful to Allah for His mercy and expressed optimism that the corona virus scourge will soon become a thing of the past.
He urged Muslims to pray fervently for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic that has been ravaging countries all over the world, including Nigeria and enjoined them adhere strictly to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whom he described as the best for all Muslims to emulate
The Chancellor, Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government advised Nigerian Muslims to sustain the lessons of the holy month and replicate them in their daily lives for the good of society adding that “Eid-el-Fitri festival connotes sacrifice, selflessness, love and obedience to the tenets of Islam.”
He admonished Nigerians to stay safe, remain steadfast in prayers and continue to love and cherish one another.
Speaking on the Covid-19 pandemic, the renowned educationist enjoined Nigerians to complement government efforts in confronting the dreaded COVID-19, by observing all the preventive protocols and complying with government restriction orders.
Adedoyin noted that the 2020 Ramadan came at an extraordinary time of human existence during which everyone has to temper certain rights and privileges to preserve the human race against the ravaging deadly Corona Virus (COVID-19).
